Georgia Highlands College is a multi-campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 6,000 students in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama across its five locations in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, and Dallas. Job Summary
This position performs specialized enrollment management duties that aid students in the navigation of enrollment processes.
Responsibilities
- Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.
- Provides cross-functional services in the area of enrollment services to include recruiting, admissions, registration, academic and biographical records, and financial aid.
- Provides assistance with completing necessary processes and refers to appropriate resources on campus as necessary
- Troubleshoots complex student issues involving Enrollment Management processes
- Works within Enrollment Management technology systems (ex. GHC411, Banner, Xtender, Navigate)
- Receives, scans, and/or indexes student records
- Coordinates VHUB hosting schedule and hosts as needed
- Maintains procedural manuals and provides training for front-line Enrollment Management staff
- Serves as a tuition classification officer; processes tuition application error forms, residency petitions, and tuition waivers
- Participates in recruitment workshops, special events, and activities designed to boost enrollment
- Provides excellent customer service
- Participates in College initiatives and events to benefit students and the College
- Serves on college committees as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a bachelor's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one year.
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license Issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience and education.

- Knowledge of federal, state, University System of Georgia, Board of Regents, and institutional policies and procedures
- Knowledge of admissions, registration, general financial aid requirements and business office functions
- Knowledge of college policies and procedures and general GHC information
- Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs
- Skill in the provision of customer service
- Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions
- Skill in oral and written communication
