The School of STEM Department of Construction Management of Vermont State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Construction Management beginning August 2025 for a Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty Position.
The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses in the Construction Management Program and be capable of teaching to a wide range of abilities. The Vermont State University's full-time faculty teaching load is 24 credits per academic year. Responsibilities also include student advising, participation in the acreditation activities of the department, and serving on committees at the School of STEM and the VTSU. Position is located at the Randolph Campus of VTSU, Randolph Center, Vermont.

Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree plus significant field related experience (5-7 years) and field related certification/licensure, where appropriate, are required.
- Teaching experience in a secondary school or college is preferred.
- Qualified candidates must be able to teach a variety of courses in the construction management program and be capable of teaching to a wide range of abilities.
- Candidate must have experience with commercial, civil, and/or residential construction; materials and methods, and surveying, estimating, scheduling, contracts, safety and building codes.
- Candidate should have experience using the following technology: BlueBeam, Procore, MS Word and Excel, CAD, estimating and/or scheduling software. Candidate should have experience working with construction drawings and specifications, change orders, electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC systems, and a basic understanding of structural design.
Salary
Based on qualifications and experience as defined by VSC-VSCFF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
