Responsibilities
This is a sensitive position serving the Faculty Relations section of the Office of Human Resources (HR) and routinely handles information with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality related to academic collective bargaining and contract administration.
Primary Functions:
- Responsible for all administrative support for collective bargaining negotiations with academic units (faculty and graduate assistants). Attends and records all collective
bargaining sessions with units. Coordinates administration of collective bargaining sessions including scheduling bargaining sessions and posting notices. Coordinates scheduling of all contract administration meetings and management team meetings. Schedules consultation meetings, records meetings and prepares minutes for
distribution. - Supports compliance with ratified agreements for academic bargaining units, including providing responses to data requests, analysis of turnover reports,
percentages of dues payers, discretionary pay increases, and other data to ensure compliance. Routinely prepares reports for distribution including Salary Change
Reports, Increases Reports, In-Unit Lists, and other Public Records Requests. - Maintains intricate filing system of grievances, complaints, disciplinary actions, correspondences, and related faculty relations matters. Process and tracks dues enrollment forms and dues terminations requests.
- Provides support to departments on faculty employment contract administration. Troubleshoots issues with contracts, monitors compliance rate, serves as subject
matter expert on contract generation process. Serves as backup on faculty classification actions and faculty internal movements. - Coordinates the University's Tuition Scholarship for Dependent program to include monitoring the HR-Dependent email inbox and providing responses, reviewing and
logging applications, coordinating with applicable offices to ensure eligibility, and communicates with applicants and awardees on final outcomes. - Provides support to Senior HR Analyst on special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to four years. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
