The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at DCC invites applications for part-time faculty in Mathematics.
The department is searching for instructors for the Spring 2025 semester to teach the following courses:
- MAT118 - Elementary Statistics
- MAT185 - Precalculus
- MAT221 - Calculus I
- MAT222 - Calculus II
- MAT224 - Differential Equations
Courses are in-person at the main campus in Poughkeepsie and at DCC @ Fishkill. Courses are offered primarily during the day, with some courses offered during the evening. Part-time faculty teach assigned class material in accordance with learning objectives developed by the department.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mathematics or Statistics or related field.
- Official academic transcripts required upon hire.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching at the college level, particularly at a community college.
- A commitment to diversity and an understanding of how diversity impacts learning and instruction.
- Experience and familiarity with a learning management system (LMS) such as Brightspace, Blackboard, Canvas, or Moodle.

Working Conditions:
- Flexible Teaching Schedule: Seeking part-time faculty who are available to teach both during traditional daytime hours as well as evening classes, with an emphasis on daytime availability to meet departmental needs.
- The performance of this work is primarily in-person and on-site.
- Courses are held at the main campus in Poughkeepsie and at DCC @ Fishkill.
