Your Role

The Law Administrative team provides legal administrative support to the Law Department leaders and collaborates with the Law Department on all aspects of the supported administrative function. The Executive Assistant will report to the Manager, Legal Operations. In this role you will play a key role in providing administrative support to the Senior Directors overseeing Compliance and Ethics, Health Law, Law Business Group, and Privacy teams. Additionally, you will work closely with Law Department team members across all areas of support function.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Carry out administrative, analytical or procedural tasks with high degree of autonomy
  • Handle administrative matters, in the absence of, or on behalf of, the manager
  • Provide administrative oversight of third-party relationships through implementation of designated systems, routine monitoring of performance, and tracking of goods and/or services
  • Serve as administrative liaison between manager and direct reports and others within and outside the organization
  • Manage day-to-day organization of executive's calendar, appointments, meetings, and related schedule
  • Provide analytical and specialized administrative support to Senior Directors on complex details and advanced administrative duties
  • Provide administrative support for a variety of projects and tasks, including collaborative projects shared by the Law Administrative team
  • Arrange business travel and compile monthly expense reports
  • Support the Law Administrative team in coordinating engagement activities



Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced, complex business environment
  • Requires comfortability working autonomously and across multiple tasks and reporting into different project working teams and staff members
  • Requires a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
  • Requires a strict level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Requires ability to organize a daily workload by priorities

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 71280.00 to $ 99770.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
