Job Description

Notre Dame researchers do amazing things! Their highest aim is to do good in the world… to heal, unify, and enlighten. Can you imagine how the physical environment and related elements can positively impact the productivity and viability of research? Are you eager to help our researchers accomplish their greatest ambitions through the use of research space? Do you get energy from meeting customer needs? If yes, we want you to join us.

Notre Dame Research (NDR) Facilities Management’s mission is to establish, operate, and manage research resources and facilities that are flexible, supportive, and conducive to advancing the University’s mission.

Notre Dame’s research occurs across the campus and across areas that include cancer, environmental change, global health, and more. Notre Dame researchers innovate in the field, on the bench, or at the policy table. This is where you make a difference!

  • Shipping and receiving, including the training of workers in appropriate handling, storage, delivery, and other techniques.
  • The staffing and management of facilities associate(s).
  • Conference room technology/set-up.
  • Working closely with the AVPR to provide technical advice for strategic planning for NDR facilities management and in developing best practices.
  • Partnering with the other Facilities Associate Program Directors, the AVPR, Risk Management and Safety, and the safety committee to ensure a culture of safety in NDR facilities.

These duties may require use of a ladder and specialized safety handling/knowledge (training will be provided and required).

Notre Dame Research is committed to creating a community that fosters equity of experience and opportunity and ensures that members of all backgrounds feel safe, welcome, and included. We strive to achieve a culture of openness, autonomy, and belonging; making Notre Dame an exceptional place for our team, partners, and collaborators to flourish.
