Human Resources Assistant
Kentucky Wesleyan College, a private, liberal arts college with a long-standing reputation for quality and academic excellence, invites applications for a full-time, nonexempt Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our community and provide administrative support to the HR
functions at the college.
Major Responsibilities
- Assists with employee recruiting and onboarding.
- Supports the preparation and processing of payroll.
- Maintains and updates employee records and files.
- Assists with various forms and reports.
- Responds to employee inquiries and requests.
Qualifications
- Three years of experience in human resources and/or payroll.
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to work amid distractions.
- High level of proficiency in Excel and a working knowledge of other Office software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or HR certification is preferred.

This is a nonexempt position and will be paid on an hourly basis. The anticipated wage range for this position is $17 to $25, based on previous experience.
As Kentucky Wesleyan is a not-for-profit institution, employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program of the US Department of Education.
