Opportunity: NON-TENURE TRACK FACULTY TEACHING POSITION AT THE TRUMBULL CAMPUS WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH UNDERGRADUATE COURSES IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Minimum Qualifications: Earned master’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or closely related field. Three years of recent online teaching in IT with demonstrated applied IT industry experience.
Position description:
Candidates are expected to teach five courses in spring and fall semesters, including beginning and advanced courses in Information Technology. Course concepts could include computer hardware and software, network hardware and software, network design and number systems, web design and development, multimedia, ethical hacking, forensics, enterprise systems and mobile devices, database administration, cybersecurity, programming in IT and other related information technology concepts. Candidates must demonstrate that they can design and deliver course content effectively, facilitate discussions, and provide students with constructive feedback and guidance. Candidates should have a demonstrated pattern of professional development in the field of IT and teaching. Candidates must demonstrate that they possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral. They should be able to convey complex technical concepts in an understandable manner and provide clear instructions. They should maintain high ethical standards and uphold the values of the institution. Candidates must be able to participate, in-person, for events on campus.
Preferred: One or more industry certifications are preferred. Some examples of relevant certifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, Adobe Suite, MS Office, and Server+.
