Job Description
Salary Range: $121,410 - $125,732
Provide engineering expertise to support emerging platform requirements definition and integration support, including review of platform documentation, specifications, and drawings and participating in associated Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), teleconferences, and platform Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process events.
Provide communications systems, cybersecurity, and anti-tamper engineering expertise and support to provide technical and managerial expertise for configuration management, program protection, tracking and reporting, reliability, COMSEC, TEMPEST, national and cybersecurity, electrical power, manufacturing, safety, and human factors technical and program requirements.
Review functional performance and qualification test plans and procedures.
Verify complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.
Apply system engineering principles and expertise to review and provide technical comments on the specifications and interface documents that establish the Functional Baseline (FBL), Allocated Baseline (ABL), and Product Baseline (PBL), including reviewing Technical Data Packages.
Plan and conduct systems engineering, engineering analyses, trade studies, and feasibility assessments supporting systems engineering activities, including technical support for Analyses of Alternatives (AoA).
Evaluate or develop complex system designs and architectures.
Develop, review, and provide technical input to the software and hardware engineering Evaluate or develop complex system designs and architectures.
Provide engineering expertise to conduct technical risk and opportunity analysis and requirement reviews and recommendations.
Provide engineering expertise to Technical Working Groups (TWG) to provide technical support, resolve action items, and summarize issues and recommendations to the respective organizational leads.
Provide Radio Frequency (RF) circuits and systems engineering expertise, especially in military communications in general and provide RF engineering support for all phases of products.
Provide implementation, engineering support, test and evaluation, and needed to support specification and configuration management.
Support system level integration and test of complex real-time embedded systems.
Analyze or define new waveforms to meet customer requirements (propagation, bandwidth, data rates, etc.).
Develop quantitative feasibility analyses on possible solutions to increase system effectiveness and integrate new capabilities.
Conduct technical investigations in systems design and provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems.
Provide engineering expertise in communication systems, including Error Detection and Correction Coding; applicable RF, digital, and analog electrical hardware design; Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design and programming; radio navigation, audio engineering, IP, software design; internet network design and simulation and modeling; signal processing; computer architecture; antenna characteristics; impacts of electrical noise; spread spectrum techniques; communications protocols; multiplexing; modulation; and data bus structures and protocols.
Support the development of platform use cases based on customer concept of operations (CONOPS) through regular customer interaction.
Provide Systems-of-Systems engineering support in the definition, documentation, execution and analysis of system of systems requirements. Support external testing (e.g., range test, flight test,)
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline with 5 years' experience. 3 years of experience within IT, focused on DevOps.
Current Top Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
Demonstrated experience with DoD development and program/project lifecycle: design, implementation, verification, production, and sustainment for tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems.
Demonstrated experience designing tests, laboratory analyses, scientific analyses, and interpretation of research results for tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems.
Demonstrated experience with system of systems architecture of tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience with DoD development and program/project lifecycle: design, implementation, verification, production, and sustainment for tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems.
Demonstrated experience with designing tests, laboratory analyses, scientific analyses, and interpretation of research results for tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems demonstrated experience with system of systems architecture of tactical communication systems and C4ISR systems.
Demonstrated experience with open architecture constructs like Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR)/Electronic Warfare Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS), Open Mission Systems/Universal Command and Control Interface (OMS/UCI), Agile Mission Suite (AMS) Government. Reference Architecture (GRA).
Demonstrated experience with LPD (Low Probability of Detection) and LPI (Low Probability of Intercept) waveforms and anti-jam capabilities for tactical communication systems.
