Your Role
The Pharmacy Prior Authorization team provides efficient and accurate responses to external customers (physicians, office staff, pharmacy providers, members, and brokers) and internal team members for outpatient pharmacy benefit inquiries. The Supervisor, Operations will report to the Sr. Manager, Pharmacist. In this role, you will supervise a team of licensed pharmacy technicians who resolve outpatient pharmacy benefit coverage inquiries, including prescription claim processing problems, and communication of drug formulary guidelines and alternatives. Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a California Pharmacy Technician license
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience operating in a lead role or equivalent leadership training or manager training
- Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution, work organization, risk management, and delegation
- Full understanding of applicable legislation/regulations to ensure team compliance.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 65890.00 to $ 98890.00 for California.

Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
