Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for a Senior Material Planner/Scheduler (Sr Matl Planner/Scheduler) to join our San Diego, CA team.

Summary:

Develops, coordinates, analyzes, and manages the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet all program requirements and objectives. Supports the Program Management Office (PMO) in program decision making, recurring presentations, proposal preparation and submittal, and program recovery analysis. Actively participates as a valued member of the program leadership team.

Major Position Responsibilities
    Provides support by planning and tracking material needed for production schedules.
  • Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture products.
  • Works to resolve and takes corrective action for materials issues impacting production schedules while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.
  • Analyze, plan, schedule, and initiate procurement actions.
  • Ensures materials are cost effective.
  • Assists in determining and ensuring the quality of materials.
  • Execute material that required outside processing.
Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management
  • Experienced in IMS and Master Scheduling
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of ordnance supply requirements in Government regulated industry

Pay Range (USD)
$82,005 - $152,295
Pay Transparency Statement
The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.
Additional Compensation
Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
