Job Summary
Play an important role in achieving the College's enrollment management goals and supports the Assistant Vice President of Financial Aid and Scholarships by leading the day-to-day operations and communication of the financial aid and scholarship offices. Embody TCC's student-centered values and ensures goals and outcomes of the financial aid office support the recruitment and continued success of students.
Essential Duties
Manage all student financial aid and scholarship programs which includes interpretation, implementation and compliance with Title IV Student Assistance Regulations, Title38 Veterans Educational Benefits, Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and institutional policies and procedures. Ensure TCC's continuing compliance with state and federal policies.
Provide leadership for the daily operations of the financial aid processing center and campus-based financial aid offices. Mentor staff and ensure staff have continuous training opportunities.
Ensure the development and ongoing monitoring of the quality assurance plan for the Financial Aid operations/Processing Center.
Provide regular reports to the Associate Vice President on the operations of the office and emerging issues from federal and state programs.
Complete all required reporting on all state and federal programs in an accurate and timely manner.
Direct a system for the payment of financial aid recipients, educational expenses and the disbursement of cash allowances.
In conjunction with the AVP of Financial Aid and Comptroller, develop, implement and coordinate necessary accounting and financial management systems to ensure compliance and proper expenditure of funds.
Develop and maintain the monthly fund management report and projections for federal and state programs.
Participate in outreach activities for prospective and current students to promote enrollment, retention and student success.
Maintain an ongoing system of policies and procedures for the financial aid department.
Collaborate with colleagues across the College to ensure proactive, student-centered communication and processes in support of student success.
Collaborate with the AVP of Financial Aid in the development and stewardship of departmental budgets.
Collaborate with the AVP in the development of departmental long-range and short-term goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
7 or more years In Financial Aid leadership roles.
Ability to interact effectively with all student population and all college service areas.
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to financial aid.
Extensive knowledge of financial aid policies and procedures.
Ability to think strategically.
Ability to develop others.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Ellucian Banner and Slate.
