About Adam – Coding & Beyond
Last year, Notre Dame Jerusalem launched a premier certificate program in computer coding, Adam – Coding & Beyond. The 2-year program allows participants to acquire the skills needed to become (full-stack) developers. The program runs in English and includes modules in Hebrew as a foreign language, soft skill development, and select modules in critical thinking. At graduation, participants will earn a certificate of completion from the University of Notre Dame.

About the Position of Mentor Developer
Be a mentor and a technological leader in our top-tier certificate program for computer coding (full-stack developer). Develop, review, and audit comprehensive code projects. Use your programming knowledge and skills to further the development of the program participants. Enable and empower the program participants in their academic and personal growth. Be responsible for the operation of the computer lab and the educational proceedings.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement the vision and mission of the University of Notre Dame and the Adam – Coding & Beyond program goals and objectives
- Oversee and support participants’ engagement with the program’s technological curriculum
- Develop code projects and examples to support the curriculum and enable the participants to meet their goals
- Ensure the productive functionality of the Adam -Coding & Beyond Lab and facilitate the participants’ educational needs
- Innovate and develop extracurricular materials in programming and computer science subjects
- Collaborate with the Director of Project Management, Program Coordinator, and IT Officer to meet the goals and objectives of the program
- Collaborate with the larger team at Notre Dame Jerusalem and take on additional tasks where needed to ensure the program is part of the larger flourishing ecosystem of the center
- Report to the Associate Director for Technology and Academic Advising
This is a full-time position based at the offices of the University’s center in Jerusalem (Tantur campus).

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience in the industry
- Ability to interact and communicate with participants in person and as a group
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages, including JavaScript, Golang, Rust, and Python (at least 2)
- In-depth understanding of computer systems, networks, and operating systems
- Good communication skills in English, spoken and written, is a must. Knowledge of Arabic or Hebrew is an asset
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work in shifts (During the opening hours of the computer lab, i.e., shift between 8 am and 9 pm (the shifts are not longer than 8 hours and will not require night duties)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive team environment
