Description
Reporting directly to the campus facilities manager, this position will perform a variety of general custodial tasks in the cleaning and maintaining of college buildings. Although mostly custodial in nature, this position at times may perform minor maintenance tasks.
Will work non-traditional hours to include early mornings, nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Typical Duties
- Perform skilled custodial tasks according to established guidelines to ensure a safe and clean environment such as:
- Empty trash receptacles
- Police floors for litter
- Vacuum carpeting
- Wet mop lobbies, entrances and restroom floors
- Sanitize restroom fixtures
- Strip and wax floors
- Clean/disinfect drinking fountains
- Restock restroom supplies
- Clean glass doors and windows
- Clean lighting fixtures and ensure all lights are working. Replace fluorescent bulbs as needed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting procedures to identify defective machinery and equipment.
- Visually inspect areas, vehicles, and equipment for cleanliness and problems in need of repair. Report problems to supervisor. May recommend actions appropriate to deter vandalism and other damage.
- Maintain safety of college facilities by turning on/off lights and keeping sidewalks and entryways free of debris and ice and snow.
- Inform supervisor when cleaning supplies and/or replacement parts need to be replaced or restocked. Assist in stocking campus buildings with necessary supplies.
- May assist with moves and set up/takedown of tables, chairs, and furniture as needed for college activities and special events.
- May receive mail, process shipments and distribute to appropriate departments/campuses.
- May pickup and process outgoing mail using appropriate software, supplies, and mail equipment/scales.
- Adhere to college, federal, and state administrative procedures, guidelines, initiatives, and directives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations affecting college operations.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and 2 years related experience or 30 semester hours of college credit or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
