Software Engineer Intern - Undergraduate

About the Team:
Our team is responsible for building and maintaining scalable Java-based microservices within the Catalog and Pricing domain for the PlayStation Platform. We believe in the power of learning and encourage creative thinking to develop innovative solutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
As aSoftware Engineer Intern, you will contribute to both our core services and those of neighboring teams. Your role will include:
- Conducting in-depth requirement analysis
- Developing elegant, well-tested solutions with extensive test coverage
- Addressing operational incidents as they arise
- Participating in design and code reviews with peers
What We're Looking For:
- Projected to graduate by Spring 2026
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing an Undergraduate degree
- Experience with Java programming
- Experience developing web services
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Experience using source control, especially Git
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Eligibility:
- Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th.
- Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
- Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa.
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Our intern positions offer a fixed hourly pay rate. Please note that the pay rate is exclusive to the internship period and may not reflect what pay may look like following the completion of an internship.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
