The NCSU Investigative Dermatology Residency Program is intended to provide advanced clinical and scientific training in veterinary and comparative dermatology. The program length is three years This position is an Animal Dermatology Group-sponsored (ADG) residency at North Carolina State University. The resident will be required to sign a residency sponsorship agreement with ADG which includes a post-residency employment commitment with ADG for three years of employment immediately following completion of the residency program, in order for the resident to receive sponsorship benefits from ADG. Other Duties and Responsibilities
The resident will be involved in the receiving and care of companion animals with skin diseases as part of NC State’s Veterinary Health Complex Dermatology Service. When in clinics, the resident will supervise senior veterinary students enrolled in the dermatology rotation and lead weekly rounds with them. The resident will be required to attend clinical and histopathological rounds as a part of his/her training and complete at least one research project that will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Department Required Skills
ADG-sponsored resident applicants must have a current United States work authorization for the 3-year post-residency commitment prior to starting the residency. Applicants need to have either graduated from an AVMA accredited program or have completed ECFVG including the practical component and have passed NAVLE, i.e. be eligible for a state license for their post-residency position.

Required License or Certification
Eligible for North Carolina Veterinary Licensure and/or Faculty Certificate under the supervision of the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Health Complex
