Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
Financial Wellness Coordinator
Division of Student Affairs
Reporting to the Assistant Dean & Director of Essential Needs Services, the Financial Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of services and programs related to financial literacy for undergraduate students. As a member of the Essential Needs Services team within the Dean of Students Office, the Financial Wellness Coordinator will assist students in understanding their financial needs and resources; making informed financial decisions; and managing personal financial obligations during college and after graduation. This includes but is not limited to individual coaching sessions, workshops and training, and participation in campus outreach events. Some evening and weekend responsibilities may be required.

Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Education, Social Sciences or related field is required. AFC, CFSW, or other financial certification is highly desired.
- Minimum of four (4) years of related work in higher education or financial management coaching.
- Experience working with college students and/or community settings that include young adults.
- Knowledge and experience in areas of personal finance and financial literacy, including helping individuals establish beneficial financial habits and behavior change.
- Demonstrated ability to provide financial education workshops and programs.
- Ability to work well and communicate with a culturally diverse population and commitment to creating an equitable and affirming environment.
- Understanding of student development theory and first year experiences, as well as knowledge of national research, current issues and recent events facing college students.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability and desire to maintain a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of criminal background checks and the ability to complete clearances.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google platform, and Zoom.

Additional Information:
Salary range – $72,000-$82,000.
