Job Mission

The Sourcing Operations team is ASML's logistics interface to its supply base and responsible for Procurement and Material availability activities for ASML factories. In today's complex multi-tier supply chains, this is only possible by creating full transparency in the chains and flexibility at suppliers. To do this,the SO team works with strategic suppliers to schedule and execute purchases of material required to build product in the San Diego Factory. Securing the right material at the right cost at the right time ensures ASML's supply base keeps pace with technological developments and can adapt to changing market conditions.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities

Key areas of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Support strategy project to help drive structural improvements in overall supply chain

  • Support supplier score card process to drive overall supplier performance

  • Drive Supplier financial risk mapping and mitigation action planning

  • Support supplier transfer team efforts with various projects

  • Support commodity performance analysis and supplier process improvements to help drive measurable improvements for ASML's supply chain performance

  • Analyze supplier spend to help drive strategic decision making for various commodities

  • Help organize supplier contracting efforts to meet group goals

  • Assist in process development of key Supplier Account Teams and other Sourcing processes to improve team efficiency

  • Support strategic RFQ's for various commodity resourcing projects

Education and Experience

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration

  • Experience or exposure to purchasing, planning, and/or negotiation strategies is a plus

  • Proficiency with MRP software (SAP or Oracle) or MRP simulations is a plus

  • Strong excel skills to be able to complete analytics and informative graphs

  • Experienced with completing and presenting in person and virtual effective PowerPoint presentations

  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs

Other Information

  • This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • May require travel (specify domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
