Position Title
Adjunct Instructors - English Language and Literature, Economics, History
Job Duties
A Masters degree in the content area is required. Job responsibilities include preparing and teaching composition, Economics, and American History classes for general education at the El Dorado Correctional Facility. The instructor would collaborate with content-specific faculty and the Faculty Development Team as needed to ensure continued success. This is a part-time faculty position and the instructor could teach from one to three classes. Continued adjunct teaching is a possibility beyond the Fall term. Butler uses electronic grade books and other forms of mediated communication. Free training at Butler is offered and required. 40 hours of paid training at EDCF is required prior to a class start date.

Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
Teaching experience is preferred.
Required experience
18 hours of graduate level credit hours in English Language and Literature.
Required educational background
The successful candidate should have a master’s degree in English Language or Literature or a related communication discipline.
