About the Role:
Supports payroll and stock option related functions of Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. Key responsibilities include payroll support, including reporting and compliance with labor and taxation laws.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

Inputs changes to personnel information or tax law and overtime or bonus payments or calculations

Maintains personnel records, including timesheets
-
Assists in the preparation and distribution of payroll-related summaries

Processes the semi-monthly payroll using ADP payroll services (Workforce Now)

Audits payroll checks and direct deposit information
-
Supports the design and audit of recurring payroll reports, records filing and maintenance
-
Responsible for W-2 reporting compliance (relocation, loans, stock options, garnishment, etc.), and audit function

Administers the recording of equity earnings through Payroll

Completes special projects, as needed, to support Payroll, Stock Administration and General Ledger functions

Requirements:

High School Diploma / Associates degree and 2+ years of related experience or equivalent experience, training, and/or certification

Requires interpersonal, communication and organization skills including a good sense of judgment

Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and work well within a team environment

Must be proficient with computer applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-
Ability to efficiently assist with projects within appropriate deadlines

Experience with payroll processing, labor laws, tax reporting and compliance issues

Experience with stock option administration a plus

Knowledge of ADP Payroll preferred and Workday, Equity Edge/E*TRADE a plus

Uses established skills to perform a range of daily operations

Applies understanding of company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks

Able to assume responsibility, follow-through, meet commitments and use good judgment
