Litigation & E-Discovery Services Documentation CoordinatorCooley is seeking a Litigation & E-Discovery Services Documentation Coordinator to join the Litigation & E-Discovery Services team.
Position summary: The Litigation & E-Discovery Services Documentation Coordinator will provide critical administrative and documentation support to the LEDS department. This role will help maintain comprehensive documentation of E-Discovery tasks in litigation matters, including new LEDS matter intake procedures for LEDS services including staffing, vendor management, data collection, processing, review and production. In addition, the coordinator will ensure accurate case information is entered into the LEDS department's workflow documentation tracking and project management systems as well as document review systems. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
Position responsibilities:
- Support LEDS team with documenting E-Discovery and litigation support services and tasks at case inception through all aspects of discovery, including preservation, collection, processing, search, review and production
- Assist with maintaining LEDS work-flow documentation tools and systems, including coordinating and tracking new LEDS matter intake and service requests from litigation attorneys in LEDS project management system (Agility Blue) and document review systems (Relativity) for accurate reporting and risk management
- Assist with reviewing case invoices and documenting case billing information
- Assist with new matter meetings to gather necessary information from legal teams for service delivery and key deadlines
- Assist LEDS department with maintaining documentation of work performed on litigation related client data, from receipt through conclusion of matter
- Coordinate with LEDS analysts, project managers, E-Discovery attorneys, and legal teams with documentation assistance in project planning developing document review protocols, searching, testing and sampling and all aspects of litigation document review and production
- Provide documentation support with updating and maintaining litigation databases to manage data for review, production, and analysis, as well as supporting other litigation applications and assist LEDS colleagues with coordinating new or modified databases created using litigation applications
- Collaborate with LEDS colleagues, legal teams and external vendors to document dynamic case information and eDiscovery processes and tasks performed
- Assist with developing process documentation and user training materials, as directed
- Follow LEDS department and firm policies and procedures related to litigation data management and all aspects of litigation support
- Adhere to firm wide client/matter data classification and management standards in identification of client related data
- All other duties as assigned
Skills and experience:
Required:
- Available to work overtime, as required
- After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
- 2+ years direct applicable experience in a legal or legal vendor environment (e.g., litigation preparedness and response, including electronic discovery and related support. Experience with relational databases, litigation support related software and technology and the fundamentals of desktop and network operating systems)
- Proficient with standard computer equipment, laptops, and printers and generally familiar with all aspects of software interaction with network systems and business application systems
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Technical knowledge of and experience with the latest information technology tools and standards to support enterprise information management, as well as applications in data analytics to help organizations manage, classify and efficiently use information
- Conversant with electronic discovery and risk management issues, concepts and legal ramifications
- Thorough understanding of relational databases, litigation support related software and technology and the fundamentals of desktop and network operating systems
- Experience with litigation preparedness and response, including electronic discovery and related support

The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $28.50 - $38.00 ($59,280.00 - $79,040.00 annually). Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
