Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

Candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, process development, fabrication and prototyping of systems utilizing the LPS cleanroom and general laboratory capabilities. The main focus will be in assisting the cleanroom support group to help various Government and UMD groups achieve positive results in Electronic fabrication of various devices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:
  • Experience in a cleanroom setting is required.
  • Familiarity with general lab equipment and protocols such as wafer handling, inspection and safety with chemistry is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability and willingness to interact with a wide variety of researchers is required.

Preferences:

Preferences:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in photolithography, wet & dry etch, thin film deposition and inspection is preferred.
