Job Description
Title: Financial Aid Application Advisor
Office/School/Department: BX FA
Workplace Designation: In-person/On-site
Required Attendance at College/Department Events:
For all full-time employees:
· Opening of Semester Meetings (Fall, Winter, Spring)
· Holiday Party (December)
· Departmental Meetings (bi-weekly)
Reports to: Online Financial Aid Director
Overview of the Position:
Assist students with completing financial aid applications
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist students virtually and in-person with the completion of FAFSA/TAP
- Assist students virtually and in-person with the loan process (MPN and Entrance)
- Assist students virtually and in-person with Dream Act applications
- Assist students virtually and in-person with Enhanced Tuition Award Application
- Assist students with making corrections to their financial aid application, when necessary
- Contact via phone/email/text message students who have not submitted their financial aid applications
- Follow-up with students who are still missing their financial aid applications
- Other job duties as requested
*Financial aid applications – may be defined but not limited to FAFSA/TAP/Enhanced Tuition Award/Signing of ETA Contract/Loan Process/Dream Act applications.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Strong communication / interpersonal skills
· Comfort with making phone calls
· Base knowledge of financial aid (not required)
· Desire to learn and help students
