Job Description
PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, School of Engineering, is responsible for implementing complex operational and administrative activities for the Tata-MIT Alliance, including management of complex projects, data analysis, and development of reporting to MIT senior leadership, event management, and facilitation of computing resources; acts as representative to internal and external stakeholders and partners and provides input to the Executive Director for strategic planning and operations. The goals of the Tata-MIT Alliance include developing innovative technologies relevant to Tata and India in the areas of Green Steel, New Materials, Hydrogen Economy, Energy Storage, Innovations in Mobility, Circularity, Remediation, and Valorization funded by Tata and performed by MIT and Tata researchers, facilitating MIT Student Exchange, hosting Tata Visitors including Visiting Scientists, and supporting Entrepreneurship activities.

Job Requirements:REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least three years of program management experience, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to communicate, edit, and present directly and eloquently, written and spoken; robust computer and organizational skills; proficiency with productivity suite software, presentation software, Microsoft Office and a willingness to quickly learn new systems; ability to learn quickly and proactively recognize patterns and handle multiple tasks concurrently in a startup-like environment with competing priorities and critical time demands; ability to work independently and as part of a creative, diverse group of stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and industry and to use discretion and diplomacy. PREFERRED: experience working with administrators, executives, and international corporate partners; experience with non-US Government research contracts and budgets; knowledge of MIT’s policies and systems.
