Summary of Job Duties:

Ensure punctuality for all courses.

Maintain professionalism in all interactions, both inside and outside the classroom.

Collaborate on the development and revision of the nursing program’s philosophy, organizational framework, policies, and procedures as needed.

Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing curricula.

Foster an intellectual environment that encourages critical thinking.

Select and maintain appropriate clinical learning environments, including labs and check-offs.

Utilize effective evaluation techniques to assess teaching effectiveness and student performance.

Stay current with trends in nursing education and practice.

Maintain expertise through ongoing professional development.

Participate in faculty and committee assignments, including monthly faculty meetings.

Demonstrate and uphold high standards of professional nursing practice.

Contribute to recruitment, academic counseling, and program advising.

Maintain accurate student records.

Collaborate with faculty as part of a team-based approach to teaching.

Keep educational equipment and resources up to date.

Fulfill teaching responsibilities in both online and traditional tracks.

Complete required clinical hours.

Ensure student-centered learning in all courses.

Post weekly coursework and learning materials before the scheduled content week.

Complete all grading promptly for both theory and practicum courses.

Collaborate with healthcare partners to enhance clinical placements and preceptorships, aligning these opportunities with curriculum objectives.

Design and implement strategies to provide a consistent theoretical foundation across all nursing programs

Assist in planning and resource allocation to support the addition of academic entry periods


Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Have an unencumbered Registered Nursing license with privilege to practice in Arkansas
• Have a minimum of two years of clinical healthcare experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Have a Master’s of Science in Nursing
• Nurse educator experience
• Higher education experience

Salary Information:

$56,000-$60,000
