Friends of Down Syndrome is seeking an organized and proactive Program Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our program for adults with Down Syndrome. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating program activities, managing schedules, and ensuring the effective delivery of services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about enhancing the lives of individuals with Down syndrome through comprehensive program management

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in program coordination or management, preferably in a non-profit or special needs environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proven experience in program development and management. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and community partners. Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid Driver's license. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain. Ability to speak Spanish an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Houston, TX 77064 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Houston, TX 77064: Relocate before starting work (Required)
