Hiring Range: $90,000 to $105,000 annually

Full-Time

On-Site in Estes Park, Colorado

Primary Function: Implement and promote activities and programs that enhance overall employee engagement, communication and relations while overseeing the implementation and compliance of company employment policies and practices with relevant employment regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the point of contact on fundamental HR issues and questions
  • Successfully resolve employee relations issues, protecting the organization’s interests by ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws
  • Provide support to supervisors, managers and directors on employment-related issues
  • Provide guidance and counsel to employees on employee relations issues and workplace practices
  • Receive, evaluate and respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • Conduct investigations of employee complaints and recommend corrective actions
  • Respond to, manage, and resolve workplace conflicts
  • Assist with the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Assist with implementation of annual engagement survey
  • Conduct employee onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of documentation
  • Post job opportunities internally and externally on appropriate sources
  • Review resumes to find pertinent candidates and perform initial phone screens
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and interviews with candidates
  • Provide excellent customer service as the primary point of contact for employees regarding all benefit-related items, including eligibility, elections, changes, coverage, questions and escalated benefit issues
  • Administer all employee leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with applicable laws
  • Maintain accurate and timely data related to benefits, including benefits billing reconciliation, enrollments, plan documents, payroll deductions and associated paperwork
  • Provide education and assistance to employees on the organization’s retirement plan
  • Process first reports of injury and manage workers compensation claims including follow up investigations
  • Accurately enter employee data into various HR-related technology systems
  • Conduct criminal background, motor vehicle, and employment verification checks
  • Maintain accurate and complete hardcopy files for employees
  • Process payroll, ensuring internal controls are followed and data is verified prior to submission
  • Routinely audit payroll deductions and time keeping records for completeness and accuracy
  • . Respond to unemployment claims in a timely manner
  • Adheres to confidentiality laws including 42CFR Part 2, HIPAA and HITECH as well as all Harmony policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to implement human resources systems and processes in alignment with organizational strategy and mission
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills for employee communications
  • In-depth knowledge and application of federal, state and local labor and employment law and regulations
  • Solid working knowledge of the principles and practices of employee relations
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information
  • Personal maturity reflected by sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Computer skills; Proficiency in Word and Excel programs along with adequate typing skills to prepare materials timely and accurately
