About the Department

The Department of Business Management in the Poole College of Management is home to faculty in the areas of marketing, finance, operations & supply chain management, and information technology.

Faculty members work closely with our centers and initiatives, which include the Consumer Innovation Collaborative and the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative. At both the undergraduate and MBA level, there is an emphasis on data analytics in the curriculum through coursework and practicum.

Essential Job Duties

The Department of Business Management is accepting applications for the position of Non-Tenure Track Faculty Lecturer (part-time) in the Operations & Supply Chain Management area. Non-Tenure Track Faculty positions are one-semester or one-year, with the possibility of renewal. Applications will remain on file for one year should openings arise in subsequent semesters.

Successful candidates will teach 1-3 courses for the Operations & Supply Chain Management concentration in the BSBA (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) and/or for the Supply
Chain Management concentration in the MBA (Master of Business Administration). Teaching locations include our main campus in Raleigh, our RTP MBA campus, and the potential for summer courses and study abroad courses.

Specific hiring needs for the academic year have yet to be determined but could include operations modeling, supply management, logistics, supply chain analytics, decision analytics, or operations strategy.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Requires a master’s degree or an equivalent degree in Operations Management, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering or with a concentration in Operations Management, Operations Research, or Industrial Engineering.

  • Excellent teaching ability.
  • A commitment to the success of our students and programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree or equivalent in the appropriate field.
  • Experience teaching at the college level.
