Instructor or Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting
Job Description
The College is seeking an Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor of Accounting. Candidates are expected to contribute primarily to the BBA in Accounting program. The Accounting Program is accredited by AACSB-International. The candidate should have broad competence in Accounting with the ability to teach a variety of courses.
Candidates who bring experience, expertise, and/or specialization in data analytics and current accounting technologies are most preferred. Some experience in online teaching is beneficial but not critical. Effective teaching skill must be demonstrated and is expected in both online and face-to-face classes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach primarily undergraduate courses during the fall and spring semesters.
- Mentor undergraduate students.
- Pursue a program of scholarly research and publication.
- Advise students and maintain records of student progress.
- Actively participate in recruitment and retention for the programs.
- Contribute to the mission of the program and college.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates are preferred to have a doctoral degree or pursuing one in Accounting or closely related field of specialization, and must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service. Expertise should be demonstrated through doctoral transcripts and/or professional experience.
