Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder (Company) is actively seeking a National PFAS Lead to be located near any Company office (location flexible) to drive strategic growth and technical delivery of PFAS planning, design, and remediation services across public and private sectors within the United States. This is a senior leadership position and will lead the strategy and growth of Company's PFAS business across its national footprint.

  1. Technical Acumen - strong PFAS and emerging contaminant background with knowledge of customers, business, regulatory, and legal landscape.
  2. Leadership - proven record of leading growth initiatives by engaging with operations to build internal capabilities and engaging with clients to win and successfully execute new work
  3. Strategic - experience in developing, leading, and executing growth plans nationally
  4. Client Partnership - Experience with understanding client needs and guiding internal teams to partner with clients to meet such needs, and
  5. Account Development and Key Pursuits - experience in developing major accounts; ability to lead key pursuits and achieve annual sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an ambassador for Company for PFAS
  • Lead the development of the national strategy for PFAS for public and private sector clients
  • Collaborate with regional teams to develop PFAS business growth strategies and support business opportunity pipeline growth
  • Work with regional leadership to ensure the right resources are in place to execute the PFAS strategy (includes the Company's internal PFAS training program for staff)
  • Market and promote our PFAS technical capabilities and build/develop strong relationships with clients.
  • Interact regularly with clients, teaming partners, industry groups and stakeholders linked to PFAS and working across the Kleinfelder Ecosystem, develop solutions to solve the challenges faced because of PFAS
  • Development and approval of major PFAS pursuits and provide oversight of capture plans that align with the business development strategy and technical capabilities
  • Draw in technical expertise from across the organization (and external partner network) to support pursuits
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions, and guide achievement of cost of sales, gross margin, backlog, and other related financial and business goals
  • Support the identification and mitigation of risks and commercial terms during the pursuit process
  • Support the Company's client satisfaction program assuring satisfaction with Company services and interacting with project delivery personnel to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive manner
  • Reinforce collaboration and team building, ensure client focus, demonstrate commitment to excellence and innovation, and motivate others to ensure positive morale and engagement
  • Coordinate with Technical Communities of Practice to align skills with market trends and to drive strategic technical leadership hires
  • Engage in the technical delivery or review of work and/or project management, as appropriate and as needed
  • Interface and collaborate with our Australian and Canadian operations as appropriate in relation to PFAS

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field required.
  • Expertise with PFAS environmental rules, regulations, and future trends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: >5 years of related business development experience, >15 years of professional and project management experience in consulting engineering firm
  • Professional registration
  • Experience meeting operational and sales goals.
  • Proven Business Development experience with PFAS and emerging contaminants in a design consulting firm
  • Leadership position in a water or remediation-related technical, non-profit or trade association
  • Strategic planning experience
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations and treatment of PFAS in water, wastewater, groundwater, sediments, and soil
  • Business acumen related to project and company financials and risk management
  • Understanding of sales pipeline health, weighted backlog, book-to-burn, backlog growth

Domestic travel may be required - up to 30% predominately for client meetings.

Benefits:Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays.The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California and Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Acts. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $1242,383-$224,816. We will be accepting applications through 7/19/24.
