Westmoreland County Community College is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Coordinator Admissions/Recruitment. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating recruitment strategies within a specific territory and/or target population to assist the College in meeting its overall enrollment goals. This position is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to assist prospective students through the enrollment process.

The annual salary for this position is $49,566. We offer an excellent benefits package that includes:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work in collaboration with high school, career and technology center personnel, and/or other community partners to identify, recruit, and enroll traditional students as well as adult learners.
  • Provide prospective students with knowledge of career pathways and the aligning academic programs offered by the College.
  • Case manage prospective students using manual and electronic tracking mechanisms, within specific territories or target populations, through enrollment by coordinating services with pathway/faculty advisors and/or other College resources. Set and measure key performance indicators based upon previous enrollment data for their respective territory.
  • Represent Westmoreland College both on-campus and off-campus to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, companies, organizations, and/or community liaisons.
  • Assist with formal agreements between high schools and Westmoreland College.
  • Assist students with information about credits transferred to the College from previously attended accredited institutions.
  • Manage strategic communication in close partnership and alignment with the Communications Team.
  • Work with prospective students on the academic opportunities and enrollment process at Westmoreland College. Admissions counseling can occur one-on-one, via phone, chat, email, or other methods of communication.
  • Establish, monitor and utilize data to assist in territory management.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with College policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience required.
  • Public speaking experience required.
  • Experience with individual and small group communications required.
  • Prior College admissions experience is preferred.
  • Related work experience in higher education is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS - WORK-RELATED KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrated skill in planning, writing, organizing, drafting, and editing written documents.
  • Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of technical principles, theories and concepts in field of specialization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and complex issues consistently, confidentially and professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple work assignments and manage multiple tasks in a constantly changing work environment while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently make decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse population.
  • Ability to consistently provide excellent customer service.

Successful candidate will be required to provide/obtain the following:

  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check Clearance, and FBI Federal Criminal History Record Clearance at the employee’s expense.
  • Basic employment verification, national criminal database search and five-panel drug screen at the College’s expense
