Position Summary

  • The Fordham Director of the Stop the School Violence Program will oversee and coordinate program workshops at participating Manhattan and Bronx Schools. The Director will coordinate and guide delivery of workshop sessions to school staff and safety agents, as well as students in 8 Manhattan and 8 Bronx participating schools each year.
  • They will work with the mental health consultants, coordinating their assignments.
  • The Director will collect data and prepare required reports to the US Bureau of Justice Assistance.
  • The position reports to Dr. Anita Batisti, Associate Dean and Director of the Center for Educational Partnerships at Fordham’s Graduate School of Education.


Essential Functions

  • Oversees day to day operations
  • Works with Mental Health Consultants to deliver services to staff and students
  • Works with School Principals to plan and address "school climate” needs
  • Develops collaborative and supportive relationships with participating schools
  • Prepares reports to the US Bureau of Justice Assistance
  • Collects Baseline Data
  • Recruits schools for subsequent cohorts

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience

Master’s degree or above in education and/or supervision

Minimum 5 years of related experience in school-based or district-wide programs

Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills

  • Expertise in collaboration with networks of schools and government agencies
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in professional development
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Minimum Starting Salary: $80,000

Maximum Starting Salary: $85,000

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
