Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Human Resources Director leads the Human Resources Department with one direct report and is a member of the Choice in Aging (CiA) management team. The Human Resources Director is an active role participating in the recruitment, hiring, training, and supporting of all team members and is responsible for the agency benefit administration, culture development and support, and participation in the mission to provide the services needed for frail elderly and disabled adults to remain independent and retain their dignity while engaging in an active social life.

Job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Direct and oversee the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, ongoing training, and coaching of all CiA employees
  • Manage and coordinate all employee benefits including but not limited to health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 403(b) and EAP
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Work as a member of the management team participating in overall agency direction and support of all programs and teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS, B.A., or A.A. degree in human resources, management or business OR a degree in a related field plus significant experience performing the essential functions described above
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM certification preferred
  • At least two years in a similar position preferably in a nonprofit or service agency
  • Fingerprint clearance, clean DMV record and automobile insurance required.

Vaccination Requirements:

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination and Bivalent booster(s) required

Job Type:

  • Monday – Friday (closed on all major holidays)
  • Full Time, on-site
  • Salary: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
