We are looking for a Training Specialist with a Secret clearance or higher to join our Naval Surface Warfare Center Team!

As a Training Specialist, you will:
- Provide training program support using the Navy's Systems Approach to Training (SAT) paradigm for both US and foreign partner personnel.

A week in the life of a Training Specialist:
- Provide training program support.
- Assess, design, and conceptualize training scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools, aids, curriculums, and other state of the art technologies related to training and behavioral studies.
- Develop new training methodologies intended to enhance training quality and reduce training time and cost.
- Conduct training research, both in the laboratory and the field setting, in support of customer training requirements.
- Provide R&D in support of the following: tactical decision-making processes; individual and team training methodologies; individual and team performance assessment; aviation team training process.
- Prepare training catalogs and course materials.
- Train personnel by conducting formal classroom courses, workshops, and seminars.
- Provide the best training for our customer by performing continuous research and development of new and emerging Technical Training Plans.
- Conceive, model, develop and coordinate exercise scenarios in areas such as Joint training objectives and other factors such as student qualifications, experience, and training, and developing an exercise plan to meet these goals.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in training system development for technical training/training research, based in behavioral and cognitive sciences research and development.
- BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Human Factors, Psychology, Physiology, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Education, or equivalent.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $80,000-$100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
